PIPPA BLACKER INTERIORS (PBI) – TERMS & CONDITIONS

All fabric and curtain pole orders are acknowledged with an invoice which must be paid in full to confirm the order.

Fabric orders are usually received by PBI within 7-14 days upon placing order. If there are any further delays, due to printing errors or stock availability, we will notify you with delivery details etc.

We will notify you once your fabric has arrived. Please be aware, after this point, you will not be able change or cancel your order as fabrics will be cut and marked out.

It is typical of natural textiles that accepted variations in the weave may be evident and could affect the colour and texture, producing occasional slubs and irregularities.

Due to the nature of fabric, curtains or blinds hanging in direct sunlight can be affected and fade or discolour over time.

Fabric batch variations do occur. Fabric colours can vary between production batches and your sample and final fabric may

come from different batches and be slightly different because of this.

When your bespoke order is ready an email will be sent to confirm delivery times and include a final invoice. Full payment for all orders is due on completion and delivery.

PBI reserves the right to charge up to 50% deposit for the make-up of curtains and blinds and bespoke orders, depending on the size of the project.

For mail order customers, payment is due in full to confirm the order, along with your full address and a signed agreement relating to measurements and our returns policy. You will be notified when your order is complete, to arrange delivery to you by courier.

Delivery of curtains and blinds is free, if you are local and within a 20 mile radius, as is the hanging and dressing of any curtains. However, PBI reserves the right to charge for delivery and hanging for larger projects.

Roman blinds will be delivered ready to install at the customers convenience. The hanging of any blinds would be an additional cost. If necessary, PBI can arrange for a professional fitter to hang any blinds, curtain poles, fabric fascia’s and tracks. Prices available on request and will include travel expenses.

All roman blind headrails are fitted and supplied with child safety features in accordance with EN13120 guidelines.

Unless otherwise stated 100% cotton linings and interlinings are used. All roman blinds are interlined as standard unless

otherwise stated.  Blackout is not supplied as standard and only offered on request or after discussing whether it is suitable for the relevant project. 

Unless otherwise stated, our curtains are made with open linings at the bottom, this allows the fabric and linings to ‘breath’ enabling the different layers to respond independently to any moisture and temperature changes, making sure your curtains hang beautifully all year round.

Blackout lining does not offer a complete ‘blackout’ light will escape around the sides of the roman blinds and the top of the curtains hung from a pole. The blackout only acts as an additional barrier.

Natural fabrics, and in particular Linen, will naturally shrink by 10% when washed, even on a 30 degree wash. If you chose to wash your cushions or fabric PBI cannot take responsibility for what happens during washing and ironing. PBI recommend using a specialist dry cleaner for fabric, cushions, curtains and blinds etc.

For local customers, an initial meeting, to discuss fabrics, ideas and designs, is free. Any future consultations or visits are charged as follows and may incur additional travel expenses:

Lead times are 4-6 weeks. However, during busy periods such as Christmas, this may extend to 8 weeks. Orders for Christmas must be placed by 15th November at the latest.

If you are supplying your own fabric or measurements, please make sure you have checked the colour and meterage and provided full details to PBI including any pattern repeat. PBI will not take responsibility for checking colour and fabric names for fabric that has been ordered by a customer.

For mail order customers, PBI will work with your measurements and check orders thoroughly on completion. Orders are then dispatched, including the relevant documentation relating to the confirmed measurements.

We’re confident that you’ll be happy with the quality and the fit of your curtains and blinds. In the event that you’re not happy, we’ll always work with you to resolve any problems and disagreements.

Quotations are valid for 6 months, and, where appropriate, include VAT at the usual rate. Hereafter they may be subject to change.
